Nurse practitioner Partner

Lynne Soper has been a Pediatric Nurse Practitioner for over 32 years. She received her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from the University of Virginia and Master of Science in Nursing from Catholic University.

She has focused on pediatrics throughout her nursing career. Her special interests are asthma and eczema. She also has extensive experience in pediatric urgent care.

Lynne’s practice philosophy is based on education and knowledge about normal development, disease processes, and treatments which are essential for patients and families striving for good health and happiness. Patients and caregivers need to feel confident they are reaching their goals and successfully managing their health, growth, and development.

A lifelong resident of Frederick County, Lynne has been married for 36 years and has three grown children. She lives in Mount Airy and enjoys swimming, reading, beach vacations with her family, and taking care of her rescued puppies.

Family Nurse Practitioner Shannon Dümmer has over 13 years of experience in the healthcare field. She grew up in Gaithersburg, Maryland, and graduated from SUNY University at Buffalo in 2012 with her Bachelor's of Science in Nursing. Upon graduation, she proudly served in the United States Navy Nurse Corps for eight years as a Board-Certified ER Nurse, and held the rank of Lieutenant, functioning in many clinical and administrative roles. 

Shannon has been working in Primary Care with Johns Hopkins after completing her Doctoral Family Nurse Practitioner degree from University of Maryland Baltimore in 2023. She enjoys seeing patients across the lifespan, and loves getting to know her patients on a personal level to develop a comprehensive and patient-centered approach. 

As a member of the American Holistic Nurses Association, Shannon has always had a strong interest in holistic-based nursing and disease prevention, and implements a holistic approach when caring for her patients. She believes very strongly that the patient is the pilot in their health journey, and that healthcare providers as a whole serve as co-pilots, with their job being to provide guidance, expertise, and education on how to help patients be the best version of themselves. 

Shannon lives in Middletown, Maryland with her husband, daughter, and two dogs. She is a die-hard Buffalo Bills fan, and enjoys fitness and spending quality time with her family.

Vicki Peterson obtained her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Missouri Western State College in May of 1998 and previously worked at Shady Grove Adventist Hospital in Rockville, Maryland.

She has focused on critical care for most of her career including specializing in administration of IV fluids. She also has experience in the operating room and phlebotomy.

Vicki’s practice philosophy is based on compassion and kindness. She is a great listener and empathizes with her patients.

A long time resident of Frederick County, Vicki has been married for 32 years, and she successfully homeschooled both of her grown children. She enjoys outdoor adventures, gardening, vacations with her family, and volunteering at her church. She also loves to go antiquing.

Registered Nurse Janette earned her Associates in Nursing from Northern Virginia Community College and has a Bachelor's of Arts in Biblical Studies from Christian Life College in Stockton, California. 

As a full time school nurse at Cornerstone Academy in Mount Airy, Maryland, Janette loves caring for children and their families. 

Her professional history includes patient care at Inova Fairfax hospital from 2010-2024 in the adult observation unit and the cancer clinic, as well as administrative and billing services. 

With her diverse background, she offers great support to Summit Nurse Consulting families operating with kindness and patience. She believes in our mission of compassionate, quality care.

Certified Registered Nurse Practitioner (CRNP) Sophia Wilmot has over 19 years of experience in the health and medical field in both the hospital and family practice settings. Her experience includes pediatrics, women's health, emergency care, nutritional education, wellness support and mental health.

As a board-certified Family Nurse Practitioner with the Maryland Board of Nursing, she is educated and experienced to offer exceptional care and truly believes in doing what is right for the patient. This is why Summit Nurse Consulting, LLC does not accept insurance payments for consultations. By eliminating the insurance company, the provider can practice based on the patient's immediate symptoms and needs—not the requirements of the insurance company.

As a Legal Nurse Consultant (LNC), Practitioner Wilmot is also a medical legal advocate for patients. She collaborates with attorneys and patients offering medical expertise and information to support their cases. 

Practitioner Wilmot is married and has four beautiful children. She is active in both the Frederick community and her local church. She enjoys outdoor activities and playing music with her family.
